I cannot get over the fact that I just got a message from Jerry Nelson.
Yes JERRY NELSON. Let me clue you in to the awesomeness that is this man
Floyd Pepper
The Count
Robin (Kermit's Nephew)
Gobo Fraggle
Just to name a few.
My message to him:
His reply!
Hi Mary, Don't look now but there is a fearsome looking creature on your head;-D Is his name Sailor Tweek? I am the person you asked about, who did the things you mentioned. The reality though is that those things all transpired in another lifetime and now I am none of those entities. If those entities do exist they are done by someone else now and I am a grandfather who makes music with his friends and laughs as much as possible. Thank you though, for your kind words of positive energy that found you and gave you a happier outlook and maybe even some focus
in your life.
Jerry
I am in absolute awe and filled with so much joy I can't even begin to express it!

Greetings,
Facebook and all the other social networking sites can be a big pain inthe rump. You never really know who's who. I figured I'd take a chance.
If this truly reaches muppeteer Jerry Nelson, I would like to tell you how much your work as a muppet/fraggle/voice has meant to me. I'm here in Seattle, WA enjoying the Jim Henson Legacy exhibit and recalling how much I wanted to be a muppet performer when I was a kid. I apporached the plexi glass case containing Gobo and Cantus and began to cry. You and Karen Prell (who I've been able to meet these past few weeks at the exhibit) and Steve Whitmire are my heroes. I want to go on for pages...but it all boils down to a great big THANK YOU for all you've done with Muppets, Fraggles, and Sesame Street. I want to be you when I grow up. I don't know when that will be seeing that I'll be 30 next month, but that doesn't mean that I have to stop dreaming, right? Of course not!
Now, if this message reaches a completly different Jerry Nelson...you now know how much I admire a man with your name. And I bet you're a pretty cool dude as well. ^_^
Thank you. Thank you a million times over.
Wishing you nothing but the best,
Mary McDowell
