Oral History with Jane Henson is SOLD OUT...I didn't even know that you get the tickets that far in advance! I'm so sad about this! I don't want to miss this! I CAN'T MISS THIS! I can go that wednesday to see if they have tickets available last minute 10 minutes before the lecture...but..BUT...DAMNIT!
I've decided that HELL is 2 things...
A library that doesn't keep up on the Dewey system and alphabetical order...making finding books IMPOSSIBLE.
AND getting a passport.
Getting a passport is like having food poisoning on your birthday...and then someone telling you that you can't have your birthday even though you've always had it!
Apparently my state ID (I don't have a drivers liscense) isn't a valid piece of ID to the passport people. My birth ceritifcate was accepted, as was my social security card and medical insurance cards...but not my offical state ID. You know what they want me to bring in tomorrow to confirm my identidy?

MY HIGH SCHOOL YEAR BOOK.
I'm NOT kidding.
Nevermind that I graduated 12 years ago and it has my maiden name on it.
I could bring in a blood relative to vouch for me, a pay stub from my last job (which accepted my state ID to get a job in the first place!), and my marriage liscense.
And I won't get my passport in time for my planned trip (which can totally be rescheduled...oddly enough, I'm ok with that).
I am beyond PISSED OFF.
I need a hug and a good cry. I'm very crushed and I've been letting everyone on the internet know it.
